How our coaching and mindfulness project is supporting people on low incomes.
This Way Up is our coaching and mindfulness course that works exclusively with east Londoners on low incomes who are feeling stuck in their lives. Started in 2012, the course uses the unique and powerful approach of combining intensive one-to-one life coaching with weekly group mindfulness sessions. It aims to help people build their sense of self-awareness and emotional resilience whilst motivating them as they take steps forward with their personal goals. To date the course has worked with over 250 people.
About the webinar
This is the first in our series of free webinars which give you the opportunity to find out more about Quaker Social Action’s practical action against poverty and how our projects are adapting in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s also a chance to see how supporters can help us meet the needs of our communities.
The webinar will begin with a brief introduction from Rachel Quinsee, Individual Giving Officer at QSA, followed by an update from Tim Segaller, who leads the project. There will be an opportunity to ask Tim questions at the end, so please feel free to submit these when you register or ask at the end of the webinar.
