This Way Up is a six week programme of professional life coaching and stress-reduction techniques which can help you move on with your life.
We can all feel stuck in our lives, with challenging circumstances and difficult past experiences impacting our ability to succeed in the present. This is even harder when you’re trying to get by on a low income.
This Way Up is free for people on a low income, working with you to:
- Find your own resources to take charge of your life
- Feel confident and well in yourself, so that you can handle stress easily
- Plan and make decisions better, so that you can take positive steps towards your goals
The programme consists of:
- Six one-to-one sessions of Life Coaching (sessions 1 and 6 are 60 mins, sessions 2-5 are 30 mins) to help you work out what you want in life and how you can move towards that.
- A six-session Mindfulness group course (each session of 90 minutes) which teaches you skills to feel calmer and more positive so you can deal with whatever life throws your way.
The programme is suitable for anyone living in on a low income who wants to get their life on track if they feel held back by challenging circumstances or difficult past experiences. We ask that participants commit themselves as much as they can to the programme by attending as many group and 1-1 sessions as possible. Please note that, while this programme can help alleviate some mild-moderate mental health problems like anxiety or depression, it is not suitable for people currently experiencing a mental health or addiction-related crisis.

For the one-to-one life coaching sessions, participants have a choice of either a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, or all virtual sessions. We are offering for the first and final sessions to take place in person at our offices in Bethnal Green, with the other sessions taking place via video or phone call. If you prefer, you can choose to have all your sessions via video or phone call.
