Working collaboratively is one of QSA’s core values.
We recognise that we are at our best when we work with others, playing our part in civil society. This has never felt more true than over the last few weeks, as we’ve looked hard at what we can still offer, faced with the coronavirus threat.
We’ve been in awe at how quickly and wonderfully others are stepping up and reaching out; not just other charities like ourselves but all of the spontaneous community groups that are springing up. As I’ve read elsewhere, this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint, and we need to think about what we can do in the medium term as well as now. We also need to think about what are the best things we can do when the threat retreats, because, as every marathon runner knows, it is important to think about the recovery phase as well as covering the distance.
We are keeping open what we can and working hard to think about what other assets and skills we can deploy to help others. We’re up for partnerships and collaborations so if you’ve any ideas, please do get in touch.
