Do you have a recent experience of organising a funeral?
Quaker Social Action is looking at ways of encouraging the funeral industry to be more transparent.
We're inviting people with a recent experience of organising a funeral to help guide our work on funeral poverty.
About the Fair Funerals pledge
The Fair Funerals pledge now has 1,768 funeral directors signed up, meaning they commit to:
-
Recognising that funerals can be expensive and many people struggle with the cost
- Helping people to find funerals that are within their means
- Being open about their most affordable options, including third party costs:
- In initial conversations
- Within their price lists
- On their website
An invitation to share your views and experiences
We are inviting anyone who has had experience of arranging a funeral within the last 2 years to help us think about ways we can use and improve the pledge for bereaved people in the future.
We are running an event from 2-4pm on 30 July in Bethnal Green.
Spaces are limited.
Complete our short survey
We appreciate that not everyone will be able to make the event, particularly as it is based only in London. We would still value your feedback, so please complete our short online survey here:
We would appreciate any feedback you have by 31 July. Thank you!
Partner organisations
If you are an organisation that supports bereaved people, it would be great if you could share our event and survey within your networks.
