Donations from 260 supporters enabled QSA to reach its target for Christmas Challenge week 2022.
Our Christmas Challenge fundraising campaign, which ran during 29 November to 6 December 2022, achieved its target of £85,000 in total, including donations from supporters which were match funded pound-for-pound through generous grants from Segelman Trust and The Reed Foundation.
Analysis now tells us that 260 supporters made a donation through the Big Give scheme during Christmas Challenge week - mostly individuals and Quaker meetings, and one or two organisations; 70% had given to QSA previously, and 30% were new supporters. It is wonderful that QSA's existing loyal supporters respond so fulsomely to the Christmas Challenge - and we know that people were following the campaign's progress and wanted to ensure we were able to access all of the available match funding.
It is also very pleasing that the Christmas Challenge brings on board new supporters to QSA. The Christmas Challenge is run by Big Give, a major fundraising platform which generates its own publicity and which therefore helps QSA to tell more people about our work. Well over half of the people who donated to QSA for the first time have signed up to receive our news. We look forward to keeping in touch with all those who would like to hear about our work.
