How can we best prepare our children for the financial forest ahead of them?
We present the findings from Get Set - our unique financial wellbeing project for Islington parents that set out to answer that question.
Get Set uses a blend of group workshops, peer-learning and one-to-one financial coaching, focusing on the often neglected social and emotional impacts of financial wellbeing.
Please come and join us to try out and take home some of the activities and materials from the project, and hear first-hand experiences from the people who attended and delivered it.
Invited speakers are:
- Emily Crawford, Rocket Science and Simon Phillips, Quaker Social Action presenting the findings from Get Set
- Nicky Forsythe from Talk for Health, a social enterprise that makes therapeutic talk accessible to all. It is therapy without therapists: teaching lay people to give and receive effective support in community peer counselling groups.
- Jyoti Mayer from The Parent House, which provides a friendly welcoming place to unlock opportunities for parents.
We will be showcasing a suite of three videos we have produced with award-winning animator, Katy Wang.
A light buffet lunch will be provided.
