The network, run by QSA on behalf of the Money and Pensions Service, provides 'action learning' opportunities.
The Money Guiders England Network – a free practitioner network for anyone who provides money guidance as part of their paid or voluntary role – provides regular peer support events as part of its programme of learning opportunities.
At the online peer support 'action learning' events, small groups of network members take turns to present a real challenge or problem they are encountering in their practice. Other group members listen before sharing any relevant insights from their own experience – without prescribing any course of action. The presenter of the original problem will then reflect back to the group on what they have heard and what action they will take as a result.
Feedback from peer support events over the past year:
“A safe space in which to air challenges or difficulties and to receive thoughtful questions from other professionals aimed at sparking some actions to take forward.”
“Network of similar minded folk – sharing experiences in a coaching environment – linked to money guidance.”
“It was very useful to get everyone else's perspective on particular issues, a great range of skill sets within the group.”
The next peer support event for network members will be held on 11 January 2022 and network members can find out further details and sign up here, whilst all future network events are listed here.
Currently the Money Guiders England Network has around 310 members from 150 organisations.
