Every day we speak to people who are faced with funeral costs they can’t afford. Low incomes/benefits, high living costs, unemployment and long-term ill health combined with soaring funeral costs can all lead to funeral poverty, as can responding to a sudden death. The last year has been a year like no other, with Covid-19 abruptly depriving tens of thousands of people of their loved ones.
In this short webinar, the Down to Earth team will share their experience of supporting people to achieve a meaningful funeral that does not leave them in debt. As well as reflecting on the pandemic and its impact on our service and our clients, we will discuss reducing costs, raising funds and public health funerals.
We will close with a question and answer session.
