Thank you to everyone who supported our 2020 Christmas Challenge.
You raised an incredible £23,947 for our practical action against poverty!
Thank you very much to everyone who donated to our Christmas Challenge this year. The challenge, to unlock £10,000 in match-funding from our project partner Commonweal Housing within seven days, was achieved in just two days. However your support didn't stop there, meaning the total rose to £23,947. We were amazed and humbled by your generosity.
Your support will help us to continue reaching out with practical support.
This year has not been an easy one for any of us, but the pandemic has hit people living on low incomes particularly hard, adding additional pressure to an already difficult situation.
Quaker Social Acton has always strived to be a positive force for good – enabling people on low incomes to seek solutions to the issues affecting their lives. This year those issues deepened and evolved, but thanks to your help we can continue to step up, be innovative and in our own small way, keep taking practical action against poverty.
Your donations will offer people practical and positive support through our:
- Unique national helpline for people struggling with funeral costs
- Innovative programmes to help people understand and improve their own relationship with money
- Coaching and mindfulness sessions to improve resilience
- Supported shared housing for young adult carers
