We have reached our £20,000 target!
But you can still take part in our Christmas Challenge.
Thank you very much to everyone who has already donated to our Christmas Challenge, meaning we have unlocked the £10,000 in match-funding from our project partner Commonweal Housing in just two days. We are amazed and humbled by your generosity.
Further donations will no longer be doubled, but you can still donate to our Big Give Christmas Challenge.
The Challenge will end at midday on Tuesday 8 December and all donations will help us to continue reaching out with practical support.
This year has not been an easy one for any of us, but the pandemic has hit people living on low incomes particularly hard, adding additional pressure to an already difficult situation.
Quaker Social Acton has always strived to be a positive force for good – enabling people on low incomes to seek solutions to the issues affecting their lives. This year those issues deepened and evolved, but with your help we can continue to step up, be innovative and in our own small way, keep taking practical action against poverty.
Your donations will offer people practical and positive support through our:
- Unique national helpline for people struggling with funeral costs
- Innovative programmes to help people understand and improve their own financial habits
- Coaching and mindfulness sessions to improve resilience
- Supported shared housing for young adult carers
