James is a qualified accountant who has held various finance roles in the not for profit sector, including several years at Quakers in Britain. He brings practical experience of developing and supporting the operational functions and strategic planning that Charities need in order to thrive.
In addition to working in the sector, James is undertaking a masters programme in Voluntary Sector Management at the Centre for Charity Excellence, Bayes Business School London.
James lives in Essex but has family roots in east London and volunteers in his local area at The One Love Project, which offers practical and emotional support to vulnerable adults and families in the Southend-on-Sea area.
James is committed to social justice and inclusion and admires QSA's innovative and collaborative approaches to addressing different aspects of poverty and supporting people on low incomes. He looks forward to helping QSA to deliver this vital work during his trusteeship.
