Jacob was born and raised between Japan and Norway and later lived in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia before settling in the UK. Growing up across different cultures gave him a deep appreciation for diversity, inclusion and the importance of building understanding between people. As a young person, he volunteered with community initiatives supporting those who were less fortunate, experiences that continue to shape his values today.
His career has included roles in the travel, translation and property sectors, where he has enjoyed helping people from different backgrounds connect and communicate. More recently, he became a volunteer Grand Mentor, supporting young adults as they build confidence and move towards their goals.
As a trustee, Jacob hopes to contribute an international perspective, a collaborative approach and a genuine desire to support QSA's mission. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, travelling, cooking, reading and exploring different cultures.
