Lindesay is the co-manager of our Down to Earth service, leading on strategic work to tackle the causes of funeral poverty. She has been helping people in need for over 10 years.
Her previous role at QSA was managing the Down to Earth funeral costs helpline as well as strategic work - this exciting new role (since 2022) enables Lindesay to focus fully on an expanded remit to tackle the root causes of funeral poverty through strategic influencing work.
She has been a guest speaker on Radio 4’s You & Yours and their All Consuming podcast and featured in ITV Tonight’s investigation on funerals. She has written for The Metro and The Municipal Journal and authored our report on public health funeral access.
Prior to joining QSA, Lindesay worked across different sectors including homelessness, refugee and asylum support. Her work has almost always involved supporting people through times of crisis, both emotionally and practically.
She has over five years’ experience as a trainer and has trained hundreds of frontline workers in a range of topics. Her first career in theatre, following a BA in Drama and a National Diploma in Professional Acting, also taught her an array of skills valuable for training delivery and public speaking.
