Sara became a trustee of QSA in 2015, and is the convenor of the staffing committee.
Originally a teacher by trade, Sara moved into community work, first at Camden Community Health Council and then Camden Social Services. Sara also spent five years as a primary school governor.
Later in her career, she became a TV producer and director, working on programmes for schools, documentaries and the occasional drama. Giving people the chance to speak out for themselves was always at the heart of Sara’s TV work and she has won three BAFTAs.
Through her work Sara tries to tackle injustice and promote understanding between people.
Recently retired, she now feels she has enough time for the important role of being a trustee and supporting the staff team in the work they deliver for QSA.
