Simon manages Made of Money, our financial capability project that offers support and practical advice to families and individuals on money matters.
He is working with the team to develop the service and keep it at the cutting edge of financial well-being services.
Simon has over 20 years’ experience of designing, delivering and managing community education projects. He has worked with people from a variety of backgrounds in particular families on low incomes, people experiencing difficulties with their mental health, those with substance use issues and people who have had a lived experience of homelessness.
Simon has designed and run training workshops for staff working in the social care sector, including literacy and numeracy awareness, financial capability and building strong working relationships with clients.
Simon has a BSc in International Studies from the Open University, a certificate in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) qualifications in coaching, volunteer management and project management.
He enjoys the creative vitality of QSA and the friendly, supportive environment. He has been impressed by the depth of knowledge of staff and the desire to take risks in meeting and tackling the needs of the local community.
Outside of work Simon enjoys plucking a tune out of his banjo and a weekly five-a-side football match.
